Games Design

Games Design is ideal for students who love games and want to make games but haven’t yet had the chance to develop the necessary skills to do so.
BA (Hons) Games Design is a creative practice-based degree programme where students learn the skills needed to design and make indie videogames, tabletop games, and much more. The programme first started in 2018, welcoming students to work individually and in groups to produce games from scratch. Students learn 2D and 3D game engines, including GameMaker Studio, Unreal Engine, Mugen and Ren ‘Py, and use these skills to make the games that they want to make and tell the stories that they want to tell. Games Design is ideal for students who love games and want to make games but haven’t yet had the chance to develop the necessary skills to do so. Students also make games for game jams and demo their work to the public wherever possible. This showreel includes first and second year work, and projects built by staff and students during the course.
